It's a............

GIRL!!!!!!
I'm a little late at posting this because we found out 2 weeks ago. (sorry, I'm terrible) At our last Doctors appointment he told us he was 95% sure it was a girl. Cameron was still holding onto that 5% that it may be a boy......until today........We had another Ultrasound and the Tech confirmed that is is STILL a girl. We are thrilled!!! This little girl already has her daddy wrapped around her finger. Here is a video of our baby girl opening her mouth and swallowing, and some picture we got at the Ultrasound today, ENJOY!!!

We can't wait to meet this cute little girl!!!!!!!

Boy or Girl?

We have another Doctors appointment this Monday.(I'm Super-Duper excited, as is Cameron) Hopefully if our little baby isn't shy, we will be able to find out what we are having. I think it's a girl. Cameron thinks it's a boy. Anyone want to take a guess at what we are having???

Goodbye 1st Trimester

I'm officially 14 weeks today and feeling fabulous!!! One trimester down....two to go. Pregnancy has thus far been pretty uneventful for me. I've had the occasional morning sickness but nothing terrible. I am one lucky girl. I have noticed I'm tired more espically after work. I could easily get 12 hours of sleep every night and still feel like I got 8. I've only have one "true" craving so far and that would be Lay's potato chips. YUMMY! Most days its more of a battle of hmmmm...what sounds good to me at the moment(or better yets, what doesn't sound good) but never any strong cravings until a few days ago and Lay's potato chips were the ONLY thing I could think about. I have never wanted something so bad in my life. I felt like a crazy women. Too bad I don't crave something healthy like carrots or salad. Oh well, for now I will give in to whatever this little child desires.

Exciting News!

We are expecting our first baby in MAY!!!! Yes this post is a little late since most people already know about our exciting news. Better late than never right???? I'm already 13 weeks along and almost done with my first trimester. Time has just flown by.....here is a fun timeline of our pregnancy for those interested.

August 31- Cameron and I found out we were going to be parents. :)

October 4- We told my family conference Sunday while everyone was down at my parents house. They were all so excited and surprised we kept it a secret for so long. We gave everyone a binky with this saying attached: "Dear_____(each person's name) Please save this for me until MAY, i might need it when i come visit. Love, Baby Snyder."

October 5- We had our first Doctors appointment. This was such and exciting day! We got to see our cute little Grape sized baby on the ultrasound and see its little heartbeat. It made everything SO real. Cameron kept saying after we left "We have to wait 4 more weeks to come back and see it again? That's a long time" How cute huh???
We also told Cameron's parents that evening. We took over pictures of our summer vacation to show them and snuck some ultrasound pictures in with them. They were SO surprised and happy.

November 2- We had our 2nd Doctors appointment. This one was a little less eventful but still just as exciting. I've gained 3 lbs. since my first visit. We got to hear the baby's heartbeat with the little dopler machine. The Doctor also said the baby pushed back when he put the probe on my stomach. I couldn't feel it but apparently he could. Cameron got excited and is now determined that if he pushes the baby(gently of course) he will feel it move or kick or something. Again.....how cute huh???

I've been very blessed to have had such an easy pregnancy so far. I guess I'm like my mom in that way. (Thanks mom, lets just hope I have short labor like you too) I've been able to work full-time 7 days on/7 days off at the hospital. I go back to PRN(as needed) next week because I was just covering for another Physical Therapist. Cameron has been such a great husband. He comforts me when I have my emotional breakdowns for no reason and gets me snacks and juice. He loves putting his hand on my belly and gives the baby kisses all the time. He also calls it a boy. He always refers to it as a "he" Cam wants a boy so bad but will be happy if he gets a girl too. He's been such a cute and supportive husband, I know he will make and even better dad. We are so excited(and a little nervous) to be parents. We can't wait until May. I promise to be better at updating my blog with baby news!!!

Could this day get any better?.........I think not!

Today has just been one of those amazing feel good days, the kind where you feel like nothing in the world can stop you!
Great thing #1 Today was my first day at my job at Intermountain Medical Center. I love that place and am SO excited to be back there again.....but this time as an EMPLOYEE. I got hired on as PRN(as needed status) but they need me to work full time until end of October-ish. Today i oriented with a PT to the floors I will be working on. It was great. I love working at the hospital. I start my 7 days on/7 days off shift next Wednesday.
Great thing #2 I love the salads at IMC. I know hospital food has a bad reputation but I love going to their salad bar. Weird I know, but it made my day.
Great thing #3 I PASSED MY LICENSURE EXAM!!!!! And I got my license in the mail today! Yippee!!!! I feel so grown-up right now. Thank you state of Utah for processing my results so quickly......you saved me much worry.

Like i said, Could this day get any better?......I highly doubt it.

Vacation to West Yellowstone

I hate coming back from Vacation. Back to reality. Cameron and I had a great time with his side of the family in West Yellowstone. We stayed in a cabin at Campfire Lodge next to the Madison river. We were there a whole week. We fished almost every day, drove into Yellowstone a couple of times, and just had a great time relaxing and spending time with family. Thanks Snyders for a wonderful vacation!

Cameron and I hanging out at camp This is my 'serious' fishing face. Gotta catch those fishies Our fishing hole. The scenery was breathtaking Uncle Tommy. The Rockstar Fisherman I caught the rare 'green bandanna' fish Then i caught a real fish. I caught 3 total. I finally caught all 3 the very last day we fished. Cameron in all his gear. Me with all my fishing gear Ricky, Cory and I. I was so cold. hence all the jackets I'm wearing Ma and Pa Snyder My cute niece Madison. Love this girl to death
Cookin' up some delicious bacon for breakfast Cory (Cam's brother) and I at camp. This is Lonestar Geyser. We hiked 2.5 miles in to see this geyser go off. TONS Better than Old Faithful. Cameron figured out our phones take panoramic pictures. They aren't the best of quality but really cool to get a pic of the surroundings.

Time Flies

I'm warning everyone now this post will be a lengthy one. I haven't blogged since June. Summer hit and I swear the fast forward button got pushed on life. So here is what we've been up to...(in no particular order)

We got a calling in our ward! Cameron and I were called to be sunday school teachers for the 16-17 year olds. I am so excited. Everyone in our ward has been telling us what great youth we have in the ward. I am a little nervous about teaching but I think it will be a great learning experience for us.

4th of July- This year the 4th of July just kind of came and went. Sadly nothing exciting to report on. Cameron worked all day, and by all day I mean 6am-8pm. I worked for my brother Martin all day. Martin owns his own business called 'The Cotton Candy Guy'. I guess I should say Martin and Clarissa own a business...she works just as hard with him. They do cotton candy and snowies at events. They had 3 events on the 4th. I was in Layton for the morning and then went to Clearfield for the evening. I have been helping out where I can all summer. I appreciate Martin letting me work for him, having that extra money really helps while I'm trying to find a job. Plus I get to eat all the snowies and cotton candy i want....can't go wrong there. :)

Cameron is still working at Dish Network. He likes his job for the most part. It can be stressful for him at times, but what job isn't right? Cam works so hard and I really appreciate him. Cameron has Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays off so we try to fit in as much fun as possible on his "weekends". Here are a few of our favorite things we've done on his days off: Swimming at my Grandmas pool, motorcycle trip to Park City for the night, Drive-in movie, playing Wii, having our siblings stay the night, and sleeping in!

Another thing I've been up to.......The Ragnar Wasatch Back Relay. I ran this June 19&20. It was the hardest and coolest thing I've ever done in my life. 12 team members-188 miles-30 hours-0 sleep. I will dedicate a whole post to this race soon. I have to find the dang card reader to get the pictures first.

My garden is coming along great. Except for the fact that the deer like to snack on my garden as well. I've planted my greens beans 4 TIMES NOW!!!! At first I just thought I had a bad bunch of beans that wouldn't grow. So i re-planted them. Still noting, so I planted again, and again. Each time only getting a few plant to survive. I knew the deer were munching on my plants but this last time they must have been extra hungry they ate pretty much both rows of beans. I even have deer repellent out.(yes there is such thing as deer repellent, I thought it was a joke the first time someone told me to get deer repellent) I'm happy to report I have picked 3 zucchinis so far, apparently the deer are like my husband and absolutely HATE squash. I have 11 tomato plants that will soon have lots and lots of tomatoes. If anyone wants some let me know, I already know I'm going to have more than I can handle.

Summer is only half over so here are some things we are looking forward to:
-Vacation with the Ford Family to Lava Hot Springs next week
-Vacation with the Snyder Family in August to Montana/Yellowstone
-More swimming
-More motorcylce riding
-Me finding a job. (unfortunatly still no luck with the job search)
-Cameron's mom coming out from California in September.
-Just being lazy and enjoying Summer!

Graduation

Last Saturday May 30, was my graduation ceremony!! I had been done with school since the end of April but we had to wait for the rest of the school to finish their programs. I am now a Physical Therapist Assistant graduate!!! Besides being very hot in the Provo Tabernacle, graduation was wonderful. One student from each program gave a short little speech and everyone did amazing. I am so blessed to have such great family to support me. The Ford family, The Snyder family, and my grandma were all there to see me graduate. It was so fun to see all my friends from school. I am going to miss them all very much!

My mom took some more wonderful pictures from before and after the ceremony. I'll have to get them from her and post them later. Also, after the graduation ceremony we went back up to our house and had a LUAU!!! Again, my mom has those pictures so I'll have to post pictures of that excitement later too. I am so glad so many of my friends and family could make it to the Luau. Thanks everyone!

Memorial Day

Cameron and I and my Family(minus Martin and Clarissa) went up to Farmington Canyon for Memorial day. We took our 4-wheelers and stuff to make Homemade Ice Cream. My dad pretty much rocks at making Homemade Ice Cream! It it SO good. We went up to the picnic area across from Sunset Campground and had yummy fried chicken, potato salad, and then for dessert......ICE CREAM!
After lunch we took the 4-wheelers out for a drive. A lot of the fun places we usually ride were covered in snow so we pretty much stuck to the main road, but it was still a lot of fun.

I gave in. I am weak

This beautiful bike is now sitting in my driveway. Yup you guessed it, I gave in. I gave Cameron like 5 rules before I would let him buy it. He had to put a good chunk of money down on this thing, He has to take the rider safety course, he as to always wear his helmet and jacket, no goofing off on the bike.....I think I gave him more rules I just can't remember them right now. He got a good deal buying it from his boss. Cam has been practicing in the church parking lot behind our house since I won't let him take it on the streets until he has taken his rider safety course. He loves his bike, you should see the smile on his face when he rides. He's like a kid in a candy store. I just hope I won't regret letting him get it.

In other recent events. Since I still haven't found a job and I have a ton of spare time. I can't lie though....I have enjoyed having time to myself. I've been catching up on my scrapbook, cleaning the house, reading, and spending lots of time with Coriann and her cute little girl. My most recent project I've taken on is my garden. We have a decent size garden spot in the backyard and last Saturday I decided to plant a garden. My dad came over and plowed it and helped me make my rows and plan it out. (thanks dad!) I can't wait to eat all the yummy food I've planted.....Beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, watermelon, and pumpkins. I think I'm in WAY over my head here. :)

Update- It's been a while

So seeing how I haven't blogged since April, I figured it was time for an update. Let's start with May 8.

My cute little brother, who is not little anymore, got married to my adorable new sister-in-law Clarissa Findlay. It was such a fun day. Cameron and I had the opportunity to go to their seeling in the morning. It was a perfect day. Not too hot and not too cold. We then went to the Farmington Arts Center for our Luncheon and Reception. It was decorated beautifully. I am so happy for Martin and Clarissa. They are a darling couple and I love them both very much. I am so happy to have a new sister-in-law, Clarissa fits perfectly into our family. Here are some pictures for that day:

DONE!!!

I'm officially done with school! What an incredible feeling it is. I took my huge final exam on Monday and passed with a 95%!!!!! [insert happy dance here] I came home and Cameron and I celebrated by going to dinner and on our way up we stopped by my parents house and they decided to join us. We had a yummy celebration dinner at Olive Garden. DE-LICIOUS! Now all I have to do is show up to graduation next month. Oh, and I guess I need to find a job. :)

Almost done

Clinicals are winding down. I have this week off then I have 3 more days at the hospital and then clinicals are officially done!!! I go back to school April 27th to take my final exam,do my exit interview and finish up odds and ends at school. WOW! I'm so close to being done with school. I have learned so much and am so greatful for such a supportive husband who put off his school so I could finish.

I love being at the hospital. I'm learning so much. I pretty much followed my clinical instructor for the first week or so getting used to the hospital setting and patients. After week one I was on my own(well for the most part) I now have my own case load every morning. I also got to see 3 surgeries while at the hospital. The first one was a Total Knee Revision. It was SO interesting. Not a lot happened though. They just replaced one part in the knee. The other two were the best. I got to see they remove a metal rod from a patient's femur and then I got to see a Total Knee Replacement from start to finish......You all should be SO proud of me, I didn't pass out! I'm sure the OR staff is greatful for that also. The guys at the hospital were taking bets on wether I would pass out or not. They totally thought I would pass out or at least get sick and have to sit down. haha. I guess I'm tougher than I look. :)

I'm so excited to be done but not excited that I don't have a job yet. I'm a little frustrated because I thought by now I would have something all lined up. Many companies are not hiring because of the economy so my job options are slim to none right now. I know I will eventually find a job but I always had this thought of me already having something ready to go as soon as I graduated. I'm kind of bummed. What am I going to do with my life until I find a job? I guess I will either get a new hobby or my house will be really really clean. I was telling Cameron last night that I think this is the first time in my life since Kindergarten that I haven't been in school or working full time. Really I can't think of a time in my life that I wasn't either going to school or working and in about 2 weeks I will be going back to my pre-kindergarten years with nothing to do. haha.

P.S. if any of you hear about any Physical Therapist Assistant jobs let me know! :)

Torn

So since its spring(yes, I know there is snow on the ground still but as of March 20 the calendar says its springtime) Cam has been seeing all these motorcycles on the road and has started looking at getting one. My first thought: That would be so fun.....go for rides and small trips on the bike, save some money on gas, etc. My immediate second thought: Bad idea.....what if he gets in an accident, what if he dies!

So.....I'm torn. I don't want to be the fun-sucker/anti-adventurous wife who says no. I also don't want to be a widow at 23 either. What do I do? I know he would be a safe driver but I worry about the other drivers, not him. I actually think it would be pretty fun to take a ride with him and be adventurous. But on the other hand I have spent a few days at the hospital on the Shock Trauma ICU floor and I've seen a couple of pretty messed up people come in from motorcycle accidents. They look awful and are in so much pain, and those are the ones that were lucky enough to survive. Now I completely understand that accidents happen and broken bones heal, however broken brains don't! Should I let him get a bike or am I sentencing myself to become a widow if I do??????????

P.S. that pic is the bike he is looking at getting.

Friday the 13th

So here is something random I learned at the Hospital today, which just happens to be on a Friday the 13th. Hospitals don't have a 13th floor. The elevator numbers go from 12 to 14....no 13 folks. Hospitals don't have a room #13 on any of the floors. I found this out today while trying to find a patient in room 12 and walked right past it because it was next to room 14 and I assumed that the room after 14 was 13 not 12. Crazy huh!
