Adalee and Kenny

I watched my friend Leslee's little boy Kenny Thursday and Friday. Adalee LOVES him. Kenny is about 3 1/2 months older than Addy. She follows him everywhere. She wants to do everything Kenny does. It's so cute. They like to steal each others binkys and pull on each other while standing up.....I guess its a Love/Hate relationship. These two are so cute.....here's the pictures to prove it. :)

Lunch time

Look at that Handsome little guy

I enjoyed having Kenny over.....but I would DIE if I had twins. I would have to hire a nanny. To you parents who have twins.....I so much admire you. Its a lot of work!!!!

We loved having Kenny over to play, and Adalee loved having a partner in crime!

Growing Girl

Miss Adalee is growing SO fast. It seems this last month she has grown especially fast.

At her 6 month check up she weighed 14lbs 3 oz. (15% for her age) and was 27 1/4 inches long(85% for her age) She is still my long and skinny baby. She could still wear 3 month old clothes if her legs weren't so darn long.

This is how I find my little Monkey every morning now. Standing in her crib with a huge grin! Sometimes it's a "I'm hungry cry" and then a smile. What a great way to start my day.

She sits all by herself, however she won't sit for too long- she would much rather be crawling and getting into things. Oh, and this is no army crawl or scoot.....this is full on crawling as fast as she possibly can. Such a silly girl. Sometimes she will giggle and squeal while crawling because she is so excited with herself....and it's adorable

She can hold her own bottle now, but if you hold if for her, she will gladly let go. Her Grammy insists on always holding her bottle for her so she won't grow up too fast. And we let her.....that's what Grammy's are for. :)

This picture makes me sad and laugh at the same time. This is a picture from when Adalee was sick. And you can tell she just doesn't feel good. Poor baby had 2 ear infections back to back. We survived and she is feeling much better.

She is all smiles! Such a happy baby!

This is Adalee at Thanksgiving. She got to try mashed potatoes, yams and her Gerber baby turkey. She is getting better at eating. For a while she just stuck out her tongue to try to taste everything instead of swallowing.....I think we got it now. Some of her favorites are squash, rice cereal, and bananas. We tried spinach and it didn't go so well, We'll have to revisit that one another day.

We love watching this little girl grow and learn.......but it also makes us miss our little newborn.

Thankful #12, #13, #14

I know I'm behind so I'll try to catch up real quick. I don't get a lot done during the week that I work. (obviously...haha)

I am thankful for Siblings.

I must say I have the best brother and sisters in the world. I am the oldest of 4 and I love being the oldest. I was 3years old when Martin was born, 5 years old when Jessica was born and 10 when Rebecka was born.

This was taken in 2006. We have all grown up a bit since then. :)

Martin was my first play-mate. From the minute Martin was born I wanted him to be able to do everything with me. I played cars with him and he played barbies with me. (He's going to kill me for saying that) We got along great.....most of the time. He loves to be outdoors and is an awesome hunter. I'm proud to say he is my friend. I can come to him for anything. He is always willing to listen to me or help me out.

Jessica is my look alike, and Adalee's baby look alike. She is so sweet. This girl doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Martin and I used to tease her so much when she was little(sorry sis) But we loved to play with her also. She is creative and spunky and beautiful. We have definitely grown closer at we have grown older. So glad she's my sister.

Rebecka is my Best Bud. I've called her that since she was little. I packed her around with me everywhere. I was her little Mommy and loved taking care of her. She still says to this day that she has 2 extra mom's when Jessica and I are around. hehe. She's the gorgeous blondie! Rebecka is hilarious and energetic and so much fun to be around. Love her to pieces.

Thankful #11

Being Veteran's Day....It's no surprise that today I am very thankful for all the men and women who risk their lives and leave their families to defend our freedom. Many of my family members are retired from the military and I have a brother-in-law who is currently in the Air Force. What wonderful examples they are to me. Thanks to all those serving and those who served in our armed forces!!!

Thankful #10

Today I am thankful for mine and my family's health. Right now Adalee and I are sick, which is what inspired this post. This is the first time Adalee has ever been sick, she made it 6 months without catching anything and now the poor thing has an ear infection. I'm also thankful that she was born a very healthy baby. I know many families struggling with illness and health problems of their little ones. Now that i'm feeling a little under the weather I will try to remember not to take my good health for granted.

Thankful #9

I know most of my thankful posts have been some-what serious......so to lighten things up a bit......I am thankful for BOOGIE WIPES!

I love these things. Poor little baby caught her first cold and these have been a lifesaver. They don't make their little nose dry and hurt, and they smell WONDERFUL. Thanks Boogie Wipes for saving Addy's little nose.

Thankful #8

My Grandma Willora was an amazing person. I have so many wonderful memories of her. Although during her last years here on Earth she did not remember who I was.....I will always remember her for her love, kindness, and amazing sewing skills. She passed away 3 years ago and I know everyone misses her so much. Some days I wish I could share Adalee with her, but I know she is watching over her everyday. I am thankful for My Grandma Willora and her wonderful example.

Thankful #7

I am thankful for Daylight Savings. Well, only in the Fall. I'm not a fan of losing an hour. Daylight Savings is one of those things that the more you think about it, the weirder it is.....anyway I very much enjoyed the extra hour of sleep, and much to my surprise Adalee slept an extra hour too.

I am thankful for Bountiful Baskets!
For those of you who don't know what it is, its a produce co-op type of thing. You pay a fee of about $15 for each basket and you can get up to 3 baskets a week. We split a basket with my brother and sister-in-law every other week. I love it. Cameron, not so much. He's not a fan of Veggies.......Me on the other hand......LOVE Veggies. I like to try to get creative with what we receive each time. I've also been able to make a lot of baby food for Adalee with some of the things we get in the Bountiful Basket. I love making baby food, I know that sounds weird, but I actually enjoy it.
Yay for another Bountiful Basket today. Sorry Cam, Looks like a week full of eating veggies again. :)

Never Grow Up

Taylor Swift put my exact thoughts and feelings into a song. I'm sure all Moms out there can relate. Reminds me to cherish every moment with Adalee....she will only be a baby once.

You're little hands wrapped around my finger
And, it's so quiet in the world tonight
You're little eyelids flutter cause you're dreaming
So, I tuck you in
Turn on your favorite night light
To you, everything's funny
You got nothing to regret
I'd give all I had, honey
If you could stay like that

Oh, darling don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up
Just stay this little
Oh, darling don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up
It can stay this simple

I won't let nobody hurt you, won't let no one break your heart
And no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up, and never grow up

Thankful #5

Although Cameron is currently out of town on a business trip(and we miss him oh so much), I am very thankful he has a job. I am also very thankful I have a job, especially since i know so many out there are struggling to find a job. Sometimes I complain about having to go to work because its hard not being able to see my baby or spend time with my husband, but it's better than having no job at all.
I also LOVE my job and the people I work with. I am very blessed to be where I am.

So today..........I am very thankful we are both employed!

Thankful #4

I am most certainly thankful for this good lookin' guy..........
Cameron and I met at Snow College 6 years ago. We were good friends for a few months before we decide to actually date each other......and after that it was all over.....we were hooked on each other!
Cameron is my best friend. He makes me laugh and makes me want to be a better person. He always supports me. I love that I can be myself with him. He is such an amazing dad. Adalee loves him so much.

Cameron is definitely my Better-half. He's my soul-mate and he's mine forever!!!!

Thankful #3

I am thankful for a sweet surprise I got from Cameron the other day............

He handed this to me a few days ago as an early Birthday Present. How cute is that????

I'm still reading up on all its cool features, but I'm super stoked to have a good camera....correction AWESOME camera. Pictures from the new camera coming soon. :)

Thankful #2

I couldn't post this yesterday because I was out late partying at the Lady Antebellum concert. hehe. So this is a day late but I'll post 2 today.

I am extremely thankful for this cute girl...........

Adalee is my everything. I would do anything for this sweet little girl.

She makes me smile everyday. She can always make a bad day all better. She is an all-around happy girl. It's hard to be grumpy around Addy!

I never thought I could love someone so much. I know it sounds cheezy and everyone says it....but it's so true. The love you have for your children is like none other.

I thank my Heavenly Father each day for this sweet miracle he gave us. Cameron and I have never been happier.

Thankful

I was reading my friend's blog and she decided to post everyday on her blog, something she was thankful for the whole month of November. I decided to copy her. (Thanks Lindsay for the great idea!!!)

Today I am thankful for my AMAZING grandma! She is my inspiration, my mentor, my example, my friend. She saved my life one day when I was 2 or 3years old(story for another day) She is the most spiritual person I know. This woman has great faith.....faith I hope to have one day. She was recently diagnosed with Cancer for a second time now. She is such a fighter and believer. I am grateful I have such a wonderful example of strength. I'm a better person because I know her. I could go on and on, but I'll stop there.
Today I am thankful for her.

Family Photos

I asked my brother Martin to take some family pictures for us. He did a great job! Thanks bud, they turned out awesome! I also had fun editing them on picnik. If you don't know what that is, i suggest you go check it out. Caution.....You may get addicted like me. Here are some of our favorites....ENJOY!

The pumpkin patch

A few weeks ago we went to the Pumpkin Patch in Farmington with my mom, sister and my cousin's little girl. I used to go there when I was younger with my cousins and we would have so much fun. Now I get to take my sweet baby girl and carry on the tradition. We picked out a pumpkin for Daddy, Mommy, and Adalee and wheeled them in our wagon. We had a blast picking out the "perfect" pumpkin. And little Shellie loved riding in the wagon. Can't wait to do it again next year when Adalee can pick out her own.(and hopefully daddy can come next time) She was so mesmerized by the pumpkins.

Can of Peas?

Cam just returned from a training in Vancouver. He left Tuesday night and got back Thursday morning. This is the first time he has been away since before Adalee was born. I'm glad this trip was a short one because I sure did miss him. Anyway......Wednesday after his training on his way back to his hotel he called me and was talking to me about his training and the office in Vancouver. The rest of the conversation goes as follows

Cam: "So the guys up here were saying they have a position open here for me if I wanted it.........I told them I wasn't really interested in re-locating right now........and ya know, Vancouver really isn't my Can of Peas."

Ange:(Laughing)"Wait did you just say Can of Peas?"

Cam:"Yeah....I did.....why?

Ange:(still laughing)"I don't think that is the right expression. I think It's 'Cup of Tea' not Can of Peas."

Cam:"Oh yeah......I knew it sounded kind of weird when I said it."

I love him!!! I don't even think we finished our conversation we both just laughed hysterically on the phone for another 5 minutes. Thanks for making me smile Cam!

My New Diet Plan

So I've gained a few lbs. since I've been married(who hasn't right?).....then I got pregnant and gained a few more...ok more like 22 more(she was worth it though). After I had Adalee I was determined to lose the weight plus a little more. I stared my "diet" on my first day back to work. Aug. 5th. I don't really like to call it a diet, I call it a healthy change in my eating habits. I drink a shake for breakfast and lunch. And with luch I have fresh fruits or vegetables, then have a normal dinner. I also don't deprive myself of anything like sweets, I just limit myself. If I were to try to cut out sweets entirely I would fail. When I first started this, I was 3 lbs. away from my pre-pregnancy weight. And now I'm 5 lbs. lighter than when I started!!!! I must say I'm pretty proud of myself. I've been so good about sticking to my diet without cheating. I set a weight goal and if I reach that goal I get this...........

Pretty sweet eh??? No, I don't think I'm fat and It's not so much about the number I see on the scale as it is about getting back to feeling good. I just don't feel healthy. So wish me luck. I'm already down 5 lbs. 10 more to go!!!

3 Months

Today Adalee is 3 months old. She is growing up so fast. I can't believe just 3 short months ago I was holding my tiny baby girl for the first time. I can't imagine my life without her. She brings so much joy and happiness into our home. She is such a sweetie-pie!
I also just finished my 7 days on at work. As most everyone knows I work 7 days then have 7 off at the hospital, and this was my first week back. I had a hard time the first two days, but it got better. Having family watch her makes it a tiny bit easier to leave her(just a tiny bit though). My awesome Parents watch her 4 days a week and Cameron watches her the other 3. I guess I shouldn't say JUST my parents watch her because I know for a fact my two adorable sisters watch her and my brother and cute sister in law have kidnapped her a few times too. So I guess its a combined effort. Adalee is so blessed to have such loving family willing to watch her. I know she has so much fun playing with everyone. I miss her terribly while I'm at work and I am SO looking forward to having the next 7 days off to play with my Addy Baby!!!

The Princess and her Throne

Cam and I finally bought her a Bumbo to try it out, and to my amazement......she does have enough control to sit in it. She LOVES it. Now she feels like she is part of the party sitting up.

The princess in her new Throne.....

She looks way too old sitting up. What happened to my little newborn baby? Adalee is one weeks shy of being 3 months old.

The Baby that thinks she can sit up......

BUT CAN'T
Adalee is not even 3 months old yet and she is determined to sit up. She does not want to lay down on the ground, or in people's arms anymore. She wants to sit up and explore the world, but the funny thing is......she can't really do it. We want to get her a bumbo seat, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't have enough neck/trunk control for that quite yet. So we have resorted to a boppy pillow with a blanket for now. She LOVES it! You should see her. She is as happy as a clam and very smiley sitting up. I just keep having to prop her back up when she starts to lean forward or to the side. Such a silly girl.
And yes its almost 3pm and we are both still in our Jammies!!! haha. Gotta love lazy Saturdays.

All About Addy

Addy turned 2 months old July 11th. We left that day for California so I never got the chance to update the Blog about Miss Addy-Pants. She had her 2 month check up the day after we got home from our Vacation. Here are her measurements from the visit to the Doctor:
Weight: 10lbs. 25%
Length: 23 1/2 inches 85%
Head: 15.1 inches 30%
As you can see by her stats, she is LONG and skinny. She definitely does not get her height from her dad's side of the family.
Things Adalee can do/likes:
-Loves to smile especially first thing in the morning when we go to get her out of her crib
-Loves music. She smiles and coos when we turn on her mobile or her little sea-horse that lights up and plays music. She also loves it when we sing and dance with her.
-Likes her binky-but only when she is tired. She doesn't like it any other time during the day. If she doesn't want it she makes the funniest face and spits it out.
-She is a wiggle-worm. She can squirm out of her bouncy seat....we now have to buckle her in.
-Addy loves to sit up and look around.
-Addy is obsessed with fans. She could sit and stare at a fan for hours.
-She loves to "talk" to Cameron and I. We have many jibberish conversations a day
-She is such a good and happy baby. She only cries when she is tired or hungry.
-Adalee sleeps 8-10 hours at night. Yes I know, my baby rocks!!!
-Loves her play mat and is starting to grab at toys.
We love our little girl and love watching her grow and learn. Can't believe 2 months have already gone by.

Adalee's Blessing

We blessed Adalee Sunday, July 4th. It was such a great day surrounded by tons of loving family. Cameron did such a great job on her blessing! He was nervous for weeks before but it all seemed to disappear as he got up there Sunday to bless his beautiful little girl. She was such a good baby all day long and enjoyed being held by everyone. Thanks to all our family who came to support Adalee.

She wore my blessing dress which was made by my Grandma Willora

Kisses for the pretty baby.
