Adalee had her 2 week appointment last Wednesday and she is almost back up to her birth weight. She weighed 7lbs. 3 oz. and grew 1/2 inch. One thing we have to be a little concerned with is her hip. Her pediatrician said her left hip seems to be sliding out of socket. I guess this can happen in some babies. If it goes without treatment her hip socket may not develop correctly. We have to go have an ultrasound done at Primary Children's Hospital and they will determine if her hip is still sliding out of socket or if it resolved on it's own. If it is still causing problems we will have to go see a Orthopedic Surgeon and they may have to put her in a brace for a few months. Hopefully all will go well.
Adalee is doing great with breastfeeding. It is much easier for both of us now. She is also sleeping well. She usually sleeps 5 sometimes 6 hours straight in the night. Let me tell you this has been HEAVEN! It's amazing how much getting just a few extra hours of sleep makes such a huge difference. We are loving being new parents!!!
