2 weeks(or more, or less)

I'm exactly 2 weeks away from my due date! Yippee!!! I'm so anxious/nervous/excited to meet this little girl. I've been a slacker and haven't updated for a while so here is what we have been up to the last month or so.

I'm still working full-time at work. 7 days on/ 7 days off. It's been great. It keeps me busy and keeps me active. I'm pretty tired by the time I get home but I feel very fortunate to have had a great pregnancy that is allowing me to work as much as I have.

Cam is also still working hard! I'm sure he is just as wiped out when he gets off work, although his ankles aren't swollen like mine when he gets home. :) He has also been a great about getting things done around the house. He is just so helpful!

At my 36 week appointment the Doctor said I was dilated to a 1 and starting to efface. I didn't get too excited about this because many people, including my mom was dilated to a 2 for a few weeks.
At my 37 week appointment he didn't check me but was certain she would drop by the next visit.
At my 38 week appointment(Monday) she still hadn't dropped but I'm now dilated to a 2 and 80% effaced. So things are moving along. I haven't had any strong contractions, just some mild crampiness. But the Doc says that crampiness is still helping things move along. He estimates I will deliver anywhere from 7-14 days. Who knows. I think this little baby is very content in her little home right now. I think she will be here close to her due date.

We had two baby showers in the last month. It was so much fun. She is one spoiled little girl!!!!! She has so many clothes. Cameron's brother and his girlfriend just had a baby last August. They live out in California and they were so generous and sent us all their 0-3 month old clothes. After adding those to what she already had I had 4 full laundry loads of 0-3 month old clothes. WOW! I hope she gets to wear all of them before she gets too big.

Her room is ready, the house is (mostly) ready, the carseat is in the car, our bags are packed, we are just waiting for our little Adalee to get here.

Work

Last Thursday was my first official day being Full-time at the hospital. I've been PRN(as needed) since August and they finally had a full-time opening for me. I'm super excited to be having more $ coming in each week and having better health insurance, however I can't lie, It was hard getting used to working 7 days straight again. I'm sure it's just because I'm pregnant and get tired way easily, but toward the end of my 7 days I started getting back into the swing of things. I love what I do and the people I work with so that makes it worth it.
One thing I really miss when I'm at work is.....My husband. :) He has Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off and I'm so used to spending those days with him. He is amazing and got a lot of work done around the house while I was at work. On Tuesday I got a text at work from him saying he had a surprise for me when I got home. I got excited, who doesn't love surprises...right? So I come home to find that he had started doing the dishes(and if any of you have been to my house recently you know how behind i am on dishes) So I'm thinking this is my surprise.....NOPE....Cameron tells me that is not it. We go to get into the car to go to our Lamaze class and I notice my car has been washed. Oh, THIS is my surprise. Well this was only part of my surprise. Cameron had not only washed my car, but he also: Changed my oil(himself) Detailed/Shampooed the interior(himself), Cleaned out the entire car including the trunk, got new floor mats, fixed the upholstery that was coming off on the ceiling, and put new hub caps on the wheels. WOW!!!!! My car looks better than the day I bought it. Cam said that me and the baby will need a nice clean car to start off with. How cute is he???

Random Thoughts

This post is random. It is just a bunch of thoughts/updates.

1. I have exactly 2 months until my due date!!! We are super excited!

2. I miss running. A LOT!!!!! I wish i could be training for a race right now. Walking and playing volleyball once a a week is just not cutting it right now. I feel like a slug.

3. I had a complete stranger rub my belly the other day. AWKWARD!! haha.

4. Cameron surprised me by showing up to my volleyball game last night. He usually gets home between 9:30-11:00pm. He got off around 6pm. We celebrated after my game by going to Subway for dinner. I was so shocked and happy to see him.

5. I am now a full-time employee. No more on call!!!!! I start my 7 days on/ 7 days off schedule next Thursday. YAY for extra $$$$ and better health insurance.

6. The bathtub is my new best friend. I love taking a nice relaxing bubble bath. But I wish i fit in the tub better. I need a giant jetted tub.

7. My neighbor accidentally backed into my car the other day. I now have a giant dent in my back door, and have to go get estimates done.......ugh.....one more thing to add to the list.

8. We love, love, love, our Lamaze class. Cameron got mad at me last class for laughing while practicing our breathing.
Cameron: "Ange, quit laughing and take this seriously."
Ange: "(laughing) Don't worry I'm sure I will when I'm really in pain."
I can't help but laugh at the funny noises I'm supposed to be making. We are learning so much and I feel we will be more prepared when the day comes.

9. I'm really excited for spring and Easter. Easter candy is my favorite. I already have a stash I'm devouring.

That's all for now.

Colorguard, Doctor Appointment, and Lamaze

We have been busy the last few days with lots of exciting things. Saturday I went to Tooele with my parents to watch my sisters colorguard competition. I love watching her. My mom and I get our notes out with previous scores and sit there and compare and over-analyze EVERYTHING about the competition. haha. It's so much fun. My sister's colorguard team got moved up a division again. We were unsure how they would do because they would be competing against even tougher High School teams than before. They did awesome and took 3rd out of 11 teams. GO FFJH!!!!
Monday was our Doctor appointment, and everything still looks great. 11 weeks to go!!!My weight is right on track and baby's heartbeat sounds good and strong. I was really hoping to get an ultrasound this visit, but probably not until next time. I need some reassurance I'm still having a girl. I keep having this fear she will turn out to be a boy. I wouldn't mind having a boy, its just we now have her room all decorated and lots of girly clothes for her. If SHE turns out to be a HE......we will be scrambling to get things ready.

Tuesday after work we had our first of 6 Lamaze classes at LDS hospital. We talked about the last trimester of pregnancy, things we had been experiencing so far, and practiced some relaxing techniques(aka NAP TIME) It was a lot of fun and we got a lot of good information. I think this will really help Cameron and I...since we have no clue what we are doing. haha. Camereon is going to be an awesome father and coach. He is so supportive of me, and works so hard for our little family.

Shout-Out to my Sister

I have to give a little Shout-Out to my youngest sister Rebecka. Her Jr. High started a colorguard this year and is now competing in their Winterguard competitions. The last two Saturdays I've gone with my family to watch her. I was so amazed and impressed with these 8th and 9th graders. Holy Cow!!!! They are competing against High School teams......and WINNING!!!!! They took 1st place last week and this week. Yesterday they blew the other teams out of the water and scored way above the 2nd place team. I'm so proud of my little sis. Rebecka has been working so hard and practicing a ton, and it's paying off. She looks like she has been doing this for years. Congrats Rebecka and all you cute Wintergurard girls, keep it up!!!!!
Here is a youtube link of their competition last week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSkAZMmSwe8
It's not my video, it's a video from one of the other parents I think. Go check it out. Rebecka is the blonde in the pink. So cute!

January Update

I haven't updated for a while. I guess it's because I feel nothing much has been going on. January is just kind of boring like that. Here are some baby updates, since that is all I really think about these days. The first two pictures are from around week 22 or so. The last two are from today. Week 25!

Our baby girl is SO wiggly. She moves the most when I'm on my back, when I'm talking, or when music is playing. I LOVE being able to feel her, except when she finds my bladder. She is getting stronger and stronger everyday. Not only can Cameron feel her move, he can see her move in my tummy as well. It's so fun!!! I've had wicked bad heartburn lately and my Dr. just informed me I can take Prilosec instead of a trillion Tums. Apparently eating too many Tums can give you kidney stones.....nope pretty sure I don't want that. I also woke up Sunday morning with a weird ache/cramp, and then realized they were probably Braxton-Hicks contractions. I only had 2, and they didn't really hurt, they were just weird and uncomfortable. The Dr. told me that was normal and fine just as long as I don't have too many or they don't get too intense. I was worried that when it came time I wouldn't know what contractions are or if I was in labor.....well now I know what they feel like. Let's just hope they continue to be "practice contractions" and not the real thing. I'm anxious to meet this little girl, but NOT quite yet. 25 weeks down, 15 to go!!!!
